MAIZE TIPS

MAIZE AGRIBUSINESS

SPACING=PLANT POPULATION=YIELD

For example:
20000/maize plants=20×7 or 20×10 bushels per acre=140 to 200bpa.

To convert bushels per acre to kilogram per acre,bpa×30 ie
140×30=4200kg
200 ×30= 6000kg

That's to mean that when using a spacing of 75cm × 25cm, an acre can give you 4200kg( 42bags of 100kg dry maize) to 6000kg(60bags of 100kg dry maize)

David Hula got 616bpa from 52000 plants per acre.

Russell Hedrick got 459.5bpa from 45900plants per acre.
